When you hire a coach, you hire someone who works in partnership with you to help you achieve your goals, both personally and professionally. A coach helps to clarify who you are, what you want, what is working for you and what may be in the way of your moving forward. Coaches help clients to find their own solutions and to stay on the course toward achieving results. A coaching relationship is not a counseling or psychotherapeutic relationship; the primary focus is not on the past or on the problem, but on the future and the solution. Coaches also contribute their own expertise and knowledge around a variety of topics.
My goal is to be a candid, capable, and objective partner who is focused on you, the client, and your development. As your coaching partner, I will offer examination and insights with the goal of shifting perspectives, opening possibilities that may not have been considered previously, and providing consistent, supportive accountability.
The neuropsychological evaluation is a process that investigates an individual's learning style, cognitive strengths and weaknesses, specific achievement strengths and deficits relative to personal cognitive functioning, and social-emotional status. The testing process for this kind of evaluation requires approximately three to eight hours of your time, depending on the nature of your evaluation. This can be done in one, two or three sessions, depending on individual needs and testing style. A very important part of this evaluation is the issue of confidentiality. It is very important that you are honest with your answers and that you share all relevant information during the evaluation. I will not share any of the information I gather with others without your signed permission. The exceptions are if there is an acute risk of physical harm to yourself or to third parties, or in cases involving child abuse. I look forward to working with you and hope that the entire evaluation process is a positive one , helping you to understand your personal learning style and what, if any, accommodations may help you to have the most successful learning and working experiences. My experience as a psychotherapist includes a wide range of clinically diagnostic categories; however, my focus is on understanding and treating the whole person. I am interested in understanding of the behaviors, feelings, thoughts, and interaction styles that individuals and how they are repeated despite their wish to change. My goal is to help clients to listen to their instincts while becoming mindful of their environmental demands and personal needs. I enjoy helping people who want to know themselves more deeply, who are looking for new perspectives, and who are prepared to consider new questions and entertain new behaviors or paths.
